Christ Will see You Through
The first time I heard these words, I was twenty years old and worried over whether I could continue college. My tuition was overdue. That might not seem to be heaviest of burdens as great burdens go, but the weight of a problem is always measured by how heavy it is to the individual who has to carry it.
Some people stagger under enormous pressure and survive, I know. Others can barely make it through the evening traffic jam.
That original problem of funding my college education passed, thanks to my parents and an angel friend who stepped in to help me. Problems normally do pass. But the words of mother and Dad spoken so many years ago remain a part of me forever. “Don’t worry, Richie,” they said, “We will see you through.”
In this booklet, I offer you a reassuring upgrade on that promise: Christ will see you through. Wherever you are now, what ever your present illness or fear, whatever your worry or your loneliness, you must first convince yourself that Christ Will See You Through!!
The only guarantee I can offer is that whatever happens to you, when it passes, you will be all the more grateful to be alive and free to do what you want to do. And (for a little while anyway) you will appreciate life all the more.
